Cheers! Pattern is Ready

Cheers! Paper Pieced Pattern

Thank you for the all the “Cheers!” block love on Instagram and in the comments section of my New Years Eve blog post. It was a fun project though I took forever to settle on my fabrics!

A couple of you have expressed interest in sewing one up right away! I am excited about that and can’t wait to see your versions. The pattern is now ready and can be downloaded
from my Etsy and Craftsy shops.

I designed this block to celebrate the New Year, of course, but I think it is perfect for any toast worthy occasion like an engagement, wedding, anniversary, birth or new job. I also picture it paired with the “from Santa” pattern (see below)

but changing it up to use a white floral for the wrapping paper and stamping the engaged/married couples’ names on the tag instead of “from Santa.” Ta da, it goes from a Christmas present pattern to a wedding present pattern. Don’t you think that would be sweet?

This is just a super quick mockup but something along these lines is what I had in mind.

It actually really has me hoping that we get invited to a wedding sometime soon so I can make a couple of pillows.

  1. Love the cheers pattern!

i think the fabrics in “cheers” are perfect… really like both blocks. happy new year! (can’t wait to see what you come up with in 2014!)

  3. The versatility of these 2 blocks is great. That confetti fabric you used for the champaigne grows on me more each time I see it. I think it works really well!

  4. Cute idea, hope you get your wedding invite!
