We checked our aquarium this morning and found that one of the four caterpillars has turned into a chrysalis! The other three caterpillars have all “assumed the position” and have little threads started. We are trying to catch them in the act but this morning the caterpillar that is now in a chrysalis, just had its thread. When we got back from food shopping, we found a chrysalis. Apparently, they work quickly. The kids are so enjoying watching this process. This is the third year in a row that we have captured black swallowtail butterfly caterpillars but it doesn’t grow old (for me either!).
I best run before naptime is over and work on another doll quilt. Timothy’s best friend is turning 7 next week and her dolls don’t have a single quilt! For shame!
