This is the lovely mini quilt that I received from Mandy yesterday. It had a long trip to New England from Australia. I think it is so fun to have something made so far away! And it’s not just “something,” it is such a creative piece! Our theme was underwater and this is what Mandy created. The details of the hand quilting are lost at a distance, but trust me, if you were able to hold this piece, you would see that it is covered with little hand stitches all in matching colors of embroidery floss. Mandy did such a nice job piecing the circle of fish. I don’t think I would have dared tackle that!

Here is the whole package! She really went overboard. She sent adorable sticker books, a magnet and postcard showing the beautiful place that she lives, gloves for free motion quilting, and a cute little zippered pouch.
