Pink Lemonade

Would you like to join me for some pink lemonade? Oh, you noticed my new table runner? Since you did, let me tell you about it!

I’ve had this idea for awhile now but was so busy working on making my screen and printing fabric that I didn’t get to it till this week. I drafted my own paper pieced pattern, this is a first for me, to mimic the lines of the catherineholm tea kettle in my “Vintage Collection” silkscreen. I used one piece of the yellow colorway on natural colored linen. I was able to use nearly all of it with very little waste.

The coordinates that I used for the teapots are DS Quilts Fairgrounds Modern Tile Red Multi, Fairgrounds Modern Texture Yellow, Picnic Dots Red/Pink, Honey linen, Bliss Sweet Pink Polka Dots, and Amy Butler Full Moon Polka Dot in Cherry.

I had a chance to use my swirling free motion steam again which was fun. As you sit at either end of the table, a tea kettle is facing you. It makes me happy as the two older children bicker on and on.
