Over the summer, I designed a canvas sampler sent to me by BasicGrey. You can see what I did here. They later asked me to make another version using some of their double sided cardstock instead of fabric. They sent me their scrapbooking line called Picadilly. This line comes with some adorable brads and covered button brads that I used to secure many of the squares.
It was fun to put together this paper version. It allowed for more crisp folds than the fabric version. It was also less forgiving though!
BasicGrey describes Picadilly as “A hot cup a’ chicken soup, warm buttermilk biscuits, and a cherry pie with a mound of fresh whipped cream on a glistening white countertop; you’re experiencing Picadilly by BasicGrey, a symphony of sweet American coziness and down-home country-fresh flavors in lemonade yellow, cherry red, cornflower blue and new grass green.” In keeping with that feeling, I took this picture of the canvas with my mother’s rooster out on her sun porch.
I’m happy to be able to share this canvas with you now.
