Hope for Boston

I must admit to being quite up to my eyeballs at the moments with flag making and scheduling and coordinating for the “To Boston With Love” project.  But I wanted to find time to make a block for the BMQG’s project, Quilts for Boston.

You can read all about it here

Since I thought I might only have time to make one block, I decided to go big-it’s 12 1/2″ high by 20 something inches long.  My block is free pieced with the letters spelling Hope, something that is very important during times like these.

The BMQG is planning some sew ins to work on quilts too.  The details will likely be shared on their blog soon and may change with time but what they have told me is:

Perhaps something at Bits N Pieces in Pelham on May 5th (awaiting more details).
Tentative plans at Gather Here in Cambridge on May 12th.
Quilter’s Way will open up on Wednesday Nights: May 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 6-9.

Keep checking the BMQG blog if you are local, for more information.
