I can’t believe that I have finished my garden series! Thank goodness I chose a theme that I love so much because this set of 16 patterns was a lot of work. I am happy to share my final block today, a dragonfly. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I love daylilies and have a lot of them in my garden. The dragonflies love to land on the stalks once the flowers are spent and that was my inspiration for this block.
I designed this block to be oriented as shown on the pattern cover but the block can be turned in any direction and works equally well. I actually may use mine as shown above in my final quilt layout. I am still deciding on the placement of the blocks though.
If you were to make 4 of these blocks and turn them to make a circle, you could make a really neat 20″ finished pillow cover!
You can find the finished pattern in my Etsy shop or Crafty shop.
Here are all of the blocks together!
If you would like to read more about me and my love of paper piecing, Amy recently interviewed me on her blog, 13 Spools. She is also hosting a giveaway and the prize is three patterns of your choice from my shop. Hurry over because the giveaway ends soon!
