A few weeks ago when I showed an image of my Spinning Wheel Quilt on the cover of American Quilter, I warned that I would probably have to post again when I had the magazine in my hands. I have a copy now…and, well, here I go again. It’s just that I am very excited!
American Quilter did a great job with the magazine. All the quilts have very complete directions. There is even a coloring page included for my quilt pattern–look for it toward the front of the magazine.
There are four shots of my quilt included in the magazine which really give you a feel for the quilt. The only thing that was omitted, was a list of the fabrics that I used. I want to include those here in case you’d like to use the same fabrics.
I used Art Gallery Fabrics Pure Elements in Mirage Blue, Cozumel Blue, Tile Blue, Mystic Grey, Ash, Moonstone, and Snow.
You can purchase these fabrics at the Fat Quarter Shop or as a kit at Sew Me A Song.
Of course, I look forward to seeing the quilt made in other fabric combinations too! For fun I made a few layouts in different fabrics. See how different it looks in Lizzy House’s Constellations?
If you make a Spinning Wheel Quilt, please share a picture with me in my During Quiet Time Flickr Group.
American Quilter will start showing up in your local quilting stores at the beginning of August. Subscribers’ copies are in the mail!
