I have been working on this quilt top using the Sizzix Apple Core die for a good month now.  For some reason, though I didn’t think that the project would be quick, I didn’t expect it to be so slow! I haven’t had any trouble with it but it is definitely the slow and steady kind of sewing.

I just realized that while I have been sharing my progress on instagram, I hadn’t on my blog!  I am using a fat quarter stack of Baby Jane by Eric and Julie Comstock which is available at the Fat Quarter Shop. The vintage feel of the fabric line just suited the apple core shape in my opinion.

At this point, I am mid-way through quilting. I will be sharing the full tutorial on the Sizzix blog as well as finished pictures of the quilt at the beginning of September.  Now, back to quilting I go!
