Geranium 2

I just finished up a quick sewing project for my littlest girl, this Geranium Dress.  She rarely gets dresses made for her since she has so many hand me downs but none fit her quite right at the moment so she’s getting some new ones just for her!  The pattern is available for sale here.

I actually bought this pattern shortly after it came out but am only just now making it. I am glad that I did too because she is wearing the largest size in this pattern range which goes up to 5T.  Her height and weight measurements were in the 4T range but her chest measurement was 5T.  Since that’s the only area where the dress is fitted, I went with the 5T and thank goodness!  There isn’t much room for growth as is.  If you are using this pattern and trying to decide between sizes, I’d recommend going with the larger size.  I made View B with pleats and chose the scoop neckline.  The fabric here is from the Beauty is You line by Cori Dantini for Blend Fabrics.

This close up shows the fabric and colors best. I think it’s nice because it looks like it can move right into fall with the deep reds.
