I’ve been saying that I needed a wastebasket for my sewing space for awhile now and may have made an off the cuff comment about how cool it would be to have a spool shaped trash.  Well, my husband surprised me with this earlier this week!  Pretty fun huh?  He had started it as a Christmas present but the curved barrel was tricky so it got pushed off a bit.  He finished it up in the evenings this summer.  The top lifts up and inside there are little hooks that I can hang a plastic bag.

I’ve been debating whether I should leave it plain or wrap narrow rope around it to look like thread.  On Instagram, someone suggested a string of selvages which is a fun idea too.  What do you think?
