Aylin is starting out this week sharing not just one but two blocks from her favorite cities.
If you click over to her blog you will find the pattern for this block from her hometown of Berlin. This is the Brandenburg Gate and it is a paper pieced block. I love the use of the text fabric for the background!
Next up is this applique block of Istanbul at sunset. You just have to visit her blog to take a look at her inspirational photo for this one–it’s beautiful! I love all the yellows that Aylin used here.
We hope you will join our QAL and look forward to reading your posts about your favorite cities and the block designs that they inspire.
