As you know, I am a mother to three children. I know that when my kids are busy, they aren’t arguing! One of the best ways to keep them busy when we are out and about is with a simple craft project. I designed this bag that I called the Busy Hands Craft Bag to hold crayons or markers in the outer pockets on both sides of the bag. Therefore, the bag could be set at the table at a restaurant and the kids could reach for the markers from two directions. The bag is tall enough and wide enough to hold mini notepads, sticker sheets or flashcards. But the bag isn’t so big that you couldn’t still stash it in your diaper bag or handbag.
My pattern has been published in the ADORNit Nested Owl Coral Pattern Book. It’s a book full of sweet patterns inspired by the Coral Owl fabric line. Check your local quilt shop for the pattern book and fabric.
Thanks to ADORNit, I have a giveaway for you today! Leave a comment below telling me whether or not you are sewing Halloween costumes this year (and if so, what!). You may leave a second comment if you follow my blog and a third if you follow my During Quiet Time Facebook page. You could win a fat quarter stack of Coral Owl fabric and a copy of the Coral Owl Pattern Book (about an $80.00 retail value). I will draw a winner on Friday, October 4th.
Good luck!
