Recently, Blend Fabrics shared some Caravan Dreams by Josephine Kimberling with me. I thought that the prints had a fun bohemian feel to them so I designed this overstuffed, circular pillow with gathers. I love the finished results and hope you will too!
I think that the mini pom pom trim really makes this pillow. I picked it up for such a steal just a couple of months ago. I think it was meant to be!
Once I made the pillow, I couldn’t stop thinking how cute a mini version would be, perhaps for use as a pincushion. It had to happen….
And I am glad it did because they are in fact cute!! I know I have mentioned this on my blog before but I think everything tiny looks cuter in multiples so I made three.
Caravan Dreams will be shipping to your local quilt shop in early December. You can go to the Blend website to find local retailers and see the entire collection plus many more. To purchase the fabric by the yard, go to www.shop.annagriffin.com. There are some really fun prints in the collection. My favorite is Deco Peacock Pink, the feather print with the grey background. Do you think a grown up could get away with wearing a skirt made from that print? I’m considering it…
I’ve put this pattern in my Craftsy shop and Etsy shop where you can download it instantly and get started! The pincushion pattern is an added bonus. I think that both projects would make good gifts and Christmas is coming!
