I bought a fat quarter of this Rifle Paper Company fabric when it first came out because I thought it would be so perfect for my Vintage Bathing Suit Pattern. I finally remembered/found time to make it! What’s really ironic is that I stitched this bathing suit on a July day that was chilly enough to wear a sweater here in New England.

I didn’t make this block for any reason other than the fact that I just really wanted to see it in this print!  It’s going to join my collection of odd blocks that I am squirreling away for a “kitchen sink” quilt someday! Do you ever make a block just because you came across the right fabric?
