I couldn’t resist making another! I found this sweet gingerbread man fabric on Etsy right after I finished this block design last week. I wasn’t patient enough to wait for it to arrive in the mail before sewing a block, so I used a different fussy cut for the pattern cover. But when it arrived, I felt compelled to try it out too! And I am glad that I did! He’s so cute!
You can see the fussy cut details better in this picture. I used a peppermint candy for a wreath for the door. It seemed like the sort of thing one might do if making a real gingerbread house with candy decorations. I will add a button door knob when I incorporate the block into a project.
The Gingerbread House block measures 10″ x 8″ and is available as a pdf download in my pattern shop, Craftsy and Etsy.
Now, back to the baking, wrapping and cleaning that I was supposed to be doing today!
