Look at these gorgeous threads and the beautiful package! I am so happy to be able to share these with you today. I worked with Aurifil to design a collection of threads to accompany my new book, Petal + Stem.

I was limited to 10 spools, which was so hard! I started with about thirty colors in mind. I wanted the colors to represent the colors of flower blossoms, and of leaves and stems. I whittled it down to three shades of green and 7 blossom colors.

These three shades of green work well with most of the greens that I like to sew with.

The pretty blue is the color of lupine or forget-me-nots. You can also use it for quilting a summer blue sky for your flower garden.

I made sure to represent all the colors of the spectrum so that your flower garden can be full of color. The collection is made up of 10 small spools of 50 weight Aurifil thread. This is the weight that I use for both my piecing and my quilting. It’s fabulous for paper pieced blocks, like those in my book, because it is fine and doesn’t add bulk to the seam allowances.
I have a few of these collections with me at QuiltCon. If you are interested, track me down! You can find me teaching all day today and tomorrow. I will list the rest in my Etsy shop as soon as I return home from QuiltCon. I promise to remind you as soon as they are listed, with an IG and Facebook post. If you are a shop owner, you can order this collection through your favorite distributor. I think you will love these!
