The Farmer’s Market Tote is the final project from my new book, Petal + Stem. I included this project for a quick make. It could be a great gift or weekend finish. I made the bag using the sunflower block because my favorite thing to purchase at the farm stand is a bunch of sunflowers, even though I grow them myself! I like to leave those in the garden because they look pretty there too!
This is the same block that was used for the Daisy Chain variation that I showed last week. Remember this one?

Isn’t it crazy how different the block can look, simply by changing colors? The bag can be made with any grouping of four blocks from the book, or two of the rectangular blocks. It’s a perfect way to experiment with some block combinations.
I hope that many of you are able to stay home at this time to reduce the spread of coronavirus. While at home, sewing flowers is helping to keep me sane. They are pretty and uplifting! My books are still shipping from my Etsy shop on a daily basis and I hope I am able to continue doing that.
A Petal + Stem sew along will start on April 13th too! So we have that to look forward to. All you will need is the book. Order now, and you will be ready in plenty of time!
