Fiddleheads

This might be one of my favorite quilts from my new book, Petal + Stem, but it was the most difficult to photograph. Gosh, I wish you could see it in person because it’s prettier! I envisioned an unmown meadow with wildflowers growing to different heights, all different colors. While I enjoy visiting botanical gardens that are carefully tended, overgrown, wild gardens really captivate me.

This quilt includes a selection of blocks that are rectangular. The tops can be used alone or placed on top of a stem or stem and leaf component to add height.

The fiddlehead blocks are so delicate and graceful. Because I particularly love them, I named the quilt Fiddleheads.

Fiddleheads finishes at 60″ x 72.” It’s a great size for cuddling on the couch and dreaming of flowers during the winter.

Signed copies of my book are available in my Etsy shop.
