I wanted to let you know that my friends at Electric Quilt have a new book available for pre-order! Barbara Brackman has compiled a third edition of her well known Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns. I think most of you know that I worked as an art historian earlier in my career. I love resources like this because they can help me identify blocks from heirloom quilts that people find and share with me, knowing that I am interested. What a great resource to have at my fingertips! The blocks can also serve as inspiration for a new quilting project, of course!
The third edition includes more than 4000 pieced quilt blocks and 161 of them are new. They are also presented in full color. You can view a sample page below.

The book isn’t shipping until December but is available for pre-order now at the best deal that EQ will be offering. Keep in mind that this 30% off discount ends on November 24th. Along with 30% off, you will also receive 40% off the accompanying BlockBase software that will be coming later on. BlockBase is the software version of the book that you can use on its own or link to EQ for use in your designs. You can pre-order the book right here.

If you want to try your luck first, I am hosting a giveaway for one copy of this book on Instagram right now! You need to enter before the 21st though so hurry over! The book will ship for free to US winners and those from other countries can choose to cover shipping costs and receive the book for free if they would like.
I’m so looking forward to flipping through this collection of blocks, aren’t you?
