I realized that I didn’t have any paper pieced block designs for Valentine’s Day and thought I would fix that! I designed this heart and arrow block that’s available in two handy sizes, 10″ and 12″ square.

Sewn in all solids, it has a clean, crisp, modern look.

This softer, more romantic look is achieved by using a low volume metallic print background and peachy pink prints and solids.

I think this block, with it’s dark background and mustard arrow, achieves a more sophisticated look.

This is a fairly easy block to sew, with only one seam that has points to match, the center seam. If you know how to paper piece, you should be able to make this block successfully!

The PDF pattern can be found in my Etsy Shop or Pattern Shop. You have time to sew multiple hearts before Valentine’s Day! I realized that my blocks inadvertently coordinate fairly well so I am going to see if I can come up with some sort of runner design to use them. I will report back!
