I recently saw Art Gallery Fabric’s new Halloween collection called Spooky ‘n Sweeter and I felt compelled to make a Halloween project. I don’t tend to love orange and black combinations so this collection that is heavy on the purples, lilacs and burnt orange appealed to me so much more than most Halloween collections.

I used my Spider Web block pattern to create this wall hanging. The blocks finish at 12″ so the wall hanging measures 24″ square. It was a fun, quick sew. I quilted a tight irregular grid using a peachy shade of Aurifil 50 weight thread.
I just love the backing fabric too. The fall flowers and spider webs are an unusual combination for a fabric collection and I like it!
I know that it seems really early to be sharing Halloween projects but the fabric is shipping now. So, it’s a great time to plan ahead and set aside your fabric and pattern until the fall chill hits the air and you are in the mood to sew it. I found my fabric at Moonlight Quilters. It should be widely available.
