I am helping to celebrate Deborah Fisher’s new fabric collection, Sew Good! As soon as I saw sneak peeks of Deborah’s collection, months ago, I sent her a message telling her that it would be perfect for my Tell Me A Story block pattern, found in my book, Intentional Piecing, and that I would love to sew some up! Fast forward several months, and here we are!

The Tell Me A Story block features a fussy cut center with borders that help tell a story. Using Deborah’s fabrics, clearly, all the stories take place in a sewing room full of pincushions with unique personalities! This particular combo is my favorite block! I was smitten by the strawberry print and pincushion immediately.

I started with a fat quarter bundle of Sew Good and started making combinations. I used all the little pincushion characters for the centers and various prints for the borders. The neutral scissor print became my outer triangles.
Due to the sewing theme, I decided to make a sewing machine cover. I put 6 blocks on the front and 6 blocks on the back. It’s functional and thematic! Perfect!

Here’s one side.

And the other!
I wasn’t particularly successful in getting a shot of it on my sewing machine because my sewing room is too messy right now with other projects!

This is the best I could do. But you get the idea! It’s a great use for the fabrics and shows them off nicely. Sew Good is shipping to stores in February and Deborah has it in her shop too. She also has several new patterns to coordinate with the collection that you can find here. Congratulations Deborah!
