Daisy Chain Runner

I started this Daisy Chain runner while teaching my On Point Paper Piecing workshop with a California guild and finished up the blocks while demonstrating to a Florida guild. I decided to stop here and make a small project so that I could use new fabrics for the next workshop. This runner uses four Daisy blocks and 4 Stem 4 blocks from my Petal + Stem book, along with some squares, setting triangles, and corner triangles of background fabric.

I thought that I would share it as an example of a smaller project that you might make with your on point blocks from Petal + Stem. I love the Daisy Chain quilt pattern but sometimes we need small projects, I know that, so, here’s a possibility!

It fits perfectly on my table. I think it looks autumnal so I am putting it away until the fall. I quilted it in a 1″ diagonal grid using a soft yellow 50 weight Aurifil thread.
