I recently collaborated with Hawthorne Supply Co. Did you see this photo in their newsletter yesterday? I was scrolling one day and noticed how many Christmas prints they had this year that would work perfectly for my Tell Me A Story block. (The pattern is in Intentional Piecing.) One of the reasons that I designed this block, is because there are always new fabric designs coming out that I want to fussy cut and showcase. Sewing up one of these blocks and adding them to my collection (to become another quilt another day) allows me to do that. I can use all my favorite prints in little snippets!
This was my fabric selection!

I have really been enjoying the gingerbread color lately. That’s what drew me to these fabrics. Warm and spicy and comforting! And that penguin, how cute is he?

He requires a close up!

They had so many appropriate prints, from these kitties, to houses!

This collection included a little A Frame house that reminded my of one of my quilt block patterns. The striped fabric allowed for some careful and effective fussy cut borders too.

I really enjoyed sewing these up! This would be a great time to stock up because I am planning another Tell Me A Story holiday block swap for July!
