I wanted to get these out there before leaving to teach at QuiltCon because Easter is quickly approaching. This way, you will have enough time to make something cute with these new designs.

These blocks were designed to complement those in Petal + Stem. But, they can also be used on their own! The Easter Basket finishes at 12″ square and features woven bands which are a fun way to add more color to the block. The Egg block finishes at 6.” Together, they remind me of egg hunts!

I used my blocks along with my Garden Bunny, the Grass block from Petal + Stem, and the Daffodil from the Spring Fling Bouquet, to make this Easter table runner. I am looking forward to using it on the hutch in my dining room in a month or so. My girls really love it, which is always nice. The pattern has a few more mocked up possibilities for these blocks as well.

I quilted my runner with a simple 1″ diagonal grid in Aurifil 50 weight thread in a soft yellow. I thought it would blend well with the white but not be as stark on the pieced colors as a white thread would have been.
I hope you love these new blocks and see lots of possibilities for them!
You can purchase them in my Etsy shop or here on my website.
