Enchanted Quilt Pattern

Introducing Enchanted, a captivating modern traditional foundation paper pieced quilt pattern that features vines of delicate, stylized, rose-like flowers. Enchanted creates a design that is visually appealing in its simplicity yet the block construction is perfect for the intermediate to advanced quilter seeking a challenge. Will you choose vibrant and bold colors or opt for a soft and dreamy palette?

I was inspired to make a quilt where the blocks resembled a vine. The flowers themselves are stylized imagined flowers but they resemble roses. Because of this vine line pattern, I decided to quilt a grid that suggests a lattice.

After much deliberation, I chose a deep rose colored Aurifil 50 weight thread for the quilting. I asked for opinions on social media and there were lots of votes for lime green but I think it would have been too distracting.

I used this older Anna Maria Horner print for the backing fabric. It’s not an exact match for any of the colors but it was close and had the right “look.” I think it works well!

The finished quilt is a good size to hang on the wall or drape over an armchair, measuring 36″ x 48.”

If you’d like to make this quilt, I have made the pattern available in my PDF shop and my Etsy shop. What colors will you choose? I can’t wait to see!
