Have you heard about Aurifil Thread Labs? Click the link to learn all the details, but basically, it’s a six part series exploring the different weights of Aurifil threads and their applications.  Each installment features a guest educator and an exclusive pattern. I am honored to be the August Thread Labs educator for the 50 weight thread, exploring foundation paper piecing.  My exclusive pattern, pictured above, is called Portal.  I was able to select some thread colors that are included in this month’s lab, along with a collection from another awesome designer (I will keep it a surprise.)  There’s also a video conversation with each designer included.  You will love it!

How do you sign up?  The Aurifil Thread Labs are sold by your local quilt shop and some online quilt shops.  You can find a list of participating shops here.  One of my favorite online retailers, the Fat Quarter Shop, is included (affiliate link).  

If your quilt shop isn’t participating, ask them to consider ordering for you!  If you are a quilt shop, it isn’t too late to order.  I have contact information that I can share with you if you send me a message.
