Graphic Tee Quilt Along

Join me for the Graphic Tee Quilt Along! This quilt pattern was designed with fussy cutting in mind. It includes 12 different blocks. There are four 6″ blocks, four 9″ blocks, and four 12″ blocks. Each t-shirt has something that makes it unique. There are three necklines, color blocking options, stripes to fill with border or linear prints, and fussy cutting spots like tags, pockets, and t-shirt graphic designs.

The blocks can be arranged into a 33″ x 36″ wall hanging or that arrangement can be duplicated 4 times to create the 66″ x 72″ lap quilt pictured here.

We will sew these tee during sweater weather (clear from my photos!) and finish in time for tee shirt weather. You must sign up for the quilt along by February 29th. We start March 1st! We will sew one block a week for 16 weeks to create the wall hanging (or sew 4 each week for the lap size quilt.) At the time of purchase, you will receive the entire 43 page pattern. So you can start right away if you wish. You may also want to use this time to collect your fabrics.

These are the 6″ blocks.

These are the 9″.

And finally, the 12″.

The block size variations allow you to use all sorts of fussy cuts ranging from only 1/4″ high to 5″ high! It’s a fussy cutting delight! The tee shirts are all easily made with fabric less than a FQ so you can sew from your stash too. I ordered a few new things but half of my background fabric was from my stash, much of the t-shirt material, the binding, and the backing!

As I was sewing my blocks, there were so many things that I wanted to point out to you or suggest but I didn’t want the pattern to get too lengthy. So I thought it would be nice to include a live Zoom session. When you sign up for the QAL, you will receive a link to the live Zoom meeting on March 2nd at 1:00 PM EST and March 6th at 11:00 AM EST. Both Zoom meetings will cover the same information so my hope is that one will fit in your schedule. I will record them and send a link following for those who can’t make it. Ideally, you will be on the live call so that you can ask questions!

I will be sewing along. This time I am going to make the wall hanging. I have a new color way and new theme for my quilt along version which I will share on social media soon. What colors are you thinking? Will your quilt have a theme?

The quilt along will be run through my newsletter so it is important that you understand this. You need to subscribe during the checkout process. If you unsubscribe during the quilt along, you will stop getting the quilt along newsletters.

If you have any questions, please ask and I will get right back to you!
