I finished this quilt weeks ago from class sample blocks. I use this pattern to teach Low Waste Foundation Paper Piecing. I had hopes of taking it to the beach for a photoshoot. Today, I decided to let that one go!
I haven’t achieved the right combination of time, weather, and someone tall enough to hold it for me at the beach!
Of course, I needed to choose a nautical themed print for the back. I love to design in solids but almost always choose a fun print for the back.
My quilting lines are vertical and spaced 1/2″ apart.
This pattern is in my shop and also in my Etsy shop if you’d like to make one. The colors I used here are Art Gallery Pure Solids. The lightest green is Warm Wave. The deep blue is Mediterraneo. The darker green is Zambia Stone and the white is Snow.

I love this quilt. The blue is so pretty. We are moving to Ontario on Lake Erie. Gulls and Turtles abound. This will be the perfect quilt.

It is about 2 years away, still being rebuilt from the steel beams and up. Exterior is framed, windows, door roof and siding complete.

I think it is time to make the dove quilt again. People walk in my house and see it on deep red wall and WOW. That is beautiful. I always give you credit. It brings me joy, especially these days in our country
I love both of the gulls patterns. But can’t figure out the difference in the two patterns. Can you please tell me the difference?
