Crimped Quilt Pattern
$12.00
This is a pdf quilt pattern.
Crimped is a paper piecing pattern appropriate for someone with some prior paper piecing experience. The design is modern with negative space and asymmetry. The pattern is block based and that block has lots of possibilities! Four additional quilt top layouts are shared in the pattern to inspire you (but associated yardage is not calculated.) The dark pink irregular circles in this design remind me of the crimped edge of a pie, so that’s how it got its name!
Description
Finished Quilt Size: 42.5″ x 51″
Fabric Requirements:
brights:
5/8 yard light pink fabric
3/4 yard medium pink fabric
1 1/2 yards dark pink fabric
5/8 yard cinnamon fabric
3/8 yard dark brown fabric
background:
4 2/3 yards off white fabric
Tip: You can work from WOF strips, cutting as needed and making use of the angles of your offcuts to save fabric. This works best with solid fabric where you can use both sides. You can also choose to only partially piece the blocks that will be trimmed in the final layout. For simplicity, I will provide cutting directions as if all blocks were completely sewn and piecing was not done from strips but rather from oversize pieces that could be either non-directional prints or solids.
binding: 1/2 yard
backing: 3 1/4 yards (or 1 5/8 yards plus a pieced strip 10” wide)

Pattern includes numbered, colored diagrams as well as full size, mirror image pattern pieces, ready for foundation piecing.
Also included are four inspirational alternate layouts (but not associated yardage calculations.)
