This PDF paper pieced pattern is called “Seed Packets.” Vintage seed packets are so pretty that they make non gardeners want to be gardeners! I studied many images of vintage seed packets to arrive at this original design. I made each packet a little bit different in design, just because it is more visually interesting, more fun to piece, and allows for more fabric options!

This pattern could be handled in so many different ways. If the piecing is intimidating, you could fussy cut a vegetable or flower image from fabric instead of piecing them. The seed names can be fussy cut, embroidered or stamped. You could attach buttons down the length of the pea pod for peas. The bottom corner of the Early Peas package can contain a price or a company logo.
