This foundation paper pieced block pattern was inspired by the rolled sugar cookies that you see at Christmas, with the centers cut out and replaced with melted hard candy. In this case, we are using fun Christmas prints but, like real cookies, choose a lightly browned color for the dough. 5″ precuts work really well for the centers of the 6″ block and 10″ precuts work for the 12″ block (in fact, you can cut two if the print is nondirectional). You will want to sew them by the dozen!

The pattern includes full size FPP templates in 6″ and 12″ sizes.
