I so enjoyed designing flowers and leaves for my book, Petal + Stem, that I had to keep going! I have designed brand new block patterns to coordinate with those in the book!

Many Petal + Stem fans have asked for a dragonfly. My 10” Dragonfly Pattern (also found in my shop) is too complex to be shrunk down to a 6” size to work with the Petal + Stem patterns without excessive bulk. So I designed a simplified version that works better at the smaller size. This block can be used for anything you want but also complements the blocks from Petal + Stem. The dragonfly is placed toward the corner of the block and can be rotated when it’s placed into the quilt top and it will look like it’s about to land on a flower! It’s a great addition to the other little garden insect blocks like the Bee, Ladybug, and Butterfly. Wouldn’t it look fantastic in the Field + Flutter layout?
