I so enjoyed designing flowers and leaves for my book, Petal + Stem, that I had to keep going! I have designed brand new block patterns to coordinate with those in the book!

“Glimmers” is a foundation paper pieced PDF pattern. The finished blocks measure 6″ x 6″ and 6″ x 12″.

These companion blocks were designed with Petal + Stem night garden quilts in mind, quilts with dark background fabric to suggest a nighttime garden. Rather than making five pointed stars, I wanted something that looks a little more modern and just suggests those glimmers of light seen here and there in the garden.

You can choose colors that are more realistic like white, soft yellow, and other warm pastels or you could be completely whimsical and use all the colors of the rainbow. These blocks can be used as filler blocks to add “sparkle” to your layout.

The last image illustrates how the Glimmer blocks could be used but the rest of the patterns are not included in this listing.
