Shuffle Quilt Pattern
$30.00
The Shuffle Quilt is made up of 16 unique foundation paper pieced triangle designs, each sewn twice in the layout as shown. It’s called Shuffle because you can move the triangles around into several layouts, taking advantage of the rhythm provided by the diagonal strips. Color is another layer of choice. Rather than evenly distributing the colors, this quilt could be made in two colors, or scrappy. The diagonal strips could blend, be background fabric, contrast, or even introduce a new color. Look at my YouTube playlist called “Shuffle Quilt” for visual examples of these possibilities. The triangle designs are modern and when they meet each other, they create unexpected, interesting shapes.
The completed blocks (two triangles and a diagonal strip) are 16″ finished.
The pattern is 46 pages long. The first ten pages are full color diagrams and instructions. The last 36 pages are the full size foundation paper pieced templates. The templates are formatted for 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper. Due to the large block size, the templates extend from one page to the next page(s) and need to be taped together. Each of the template pages need to be printed twice to create the quilt as pictured.
