As many of my readers know, my former career was in museum work. I was a collections curator–a job I absolutely loved. So for me, it’s pretty exciting to see a modern quilt exhibit taking place. The San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles is hosting a two gallery exhibit of quilts selected by the Modern Quilt Guild. If you are so lucky as to be in the area, the exhibit opens tomorrow, April 21st and runs through July 16th. You can see some sneak peeks of the exhibit being hung on the museum’s Instagram account.
My Caged quilt (top left) is in the show and the museum was kind enough to send me this collage. The other beautiful quilts are Bloberella by Hillary Goodwin (top right) and Tessellation by Nydia Kehnle (bottom right). Isn’t it exciting to see modern quilts on exhibit! Go show your support if you can!
