When I was a preteen and teenager, I did a bit of cross stitch. I haven’t since but, in the back of my mind, I have been wanting to translate some of my quilt and quilt block designs into cross stitch. Nicole of @modernhandcraft has recently started doing this and when I mentioned that I had thought about doing it too, she encouraged me. Sometimes, that’s all it takes! She has some gorgeous patterns coming out very soon and has been more prolific because I have been working on the Sandy Point BOM most of the summer. Keep a look out for her patterns as well!

After a couple of months of learning new design software, selecting colors, reformatting my pattern templates, stitching, framing, and photographing, I am excited to release my first two patterns today! They are roughly the same size (approximately 6″ x 6″) and are beginner friendly. The Garden Snail pattern will look familiar to Petal + Stem fans! It’s one of the more popular blocks in my book. The second design is Interlock and it is based on my jelly roll pattern from way back!

These are both available as digital downloads. I am planning on putting together some kits, probably after I finish my next design that I am currently working on. If you are interested in a kit of either design, send me an email and I will be sure to email you directly when they are ready.

It is always nice to have a hand sewing project to bring along on trips, or work on from the couch. I hope these will bring you enjoyment!

Thank you, as always, to my wonderful customers who support my business. I appreciate you very much!
